Exploring the B&B Family Lavender Farm in Sequim, WA

Sequim, WA is the lavender capitol of the country. There are many farms to visit in the area, and there's even a Lavender Festival held every year in July. Although we've never attended the festival, we have visited a couple of the local farms. Last year we went to Jardin Du Soleil, and you can see the post here. On the overnight our family took last weekend we checked out B&B Family Lavender Farm

This is Sequim's largest lavender farm. They're open daily from May through September and even offer guided tours every thirty minutes. They have over 14,000 plants. I could smell the lavender as soon as I got out of my car. Lavender is one of my favorite scents, so I was thrilled. We walked around and took lots of photos of the plants. Then we visited the farm store, and I purchased a postcard and some Lavender Lemonade. The lemonade wasn't my favorite since it was bubbly and a little too tart, but my son enjoyed it and polished it off.

We didn't do the tour, but they explain how the lavender is grown, harvested, distilled, and turned into products. Lavender Farms are some of my favorite places to visit, and this one didn't disappoint!
