A Visit to Christmas Dive Bar

The entrance to Christmas Dive Bar in Capitol Hill is overstimulating in the best way!

My husband and I finally had the chance to visit Christmas Dive Bar this year. This is a bar located in Capitol Hill and the amount of holiday decor will both inspire and impress you this holiday season! This bar is large with two floors, with a bar on each level. Every inch of this place is decked out with cheer. Parking costed an arm and a leg, and we did have to line up outside. But the line moved fast, and we only waited about ten minutes to get inside the bar.

It was packed inside and there was another line to order food and drinks. Upstairs is Santa's Speakeasy, which is only open on weekends. The staircase is really narrow, and there is lots more decor, holiday cheer, and seating there. We ordered a round of drinks and some food on the main floor, and then we were able to find somewhere to sit. My husband ordered the Gingerbread Old Fashioned and I chose the Butterbeer Fizz. From the small food menu, we ordered the Pimento Cheese Dip and a Smash Burger. The drinks were pretty solid! I really liked my Butterbeer Fizz. The glass was a good size and there was whipped cream and a cherry on top. It reminded me of the Butterbeer at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios, but with alcohol. A win for sure.

The burger we shared ended up being one of the best I've eaten. It was on a nice, Brioche bun and there was a really tasty sauce and perfectly melted cheese. The burger was cooked just right, and the edges were crispy like a Smash Burger should be. The Pimento Cheese Dip hit the spot and was served with crackers and some veggies for dipping.

We ended up sharing a Mistletoe Margarita that was a pretty drink, but not as tasty as the first round. This cocktail was a margarita with cranberry juice. After walking around and taking some more photos, it was time to head home. Seattle has lots of Christmas bars and restaurants now and I'm happy to see it! Where is your favorite place to dine and drink during the holidays? Have you visited Christmas Dive Bar in Seattle before?
