Trying Dubai Pancakes at El Diablo

Our Dubai Pancakes from El Diablo in Burien, WA!

When I saw a Mexican spot in Burien with Dubai Pancakes that looked too perfect for words, I knew I needed to pay a visit. El Diablo is a lively restaurant with colorful and interesting decor and tasty Mexican cuisine. Upon entering, you'll order at the front and they'll bring your food to your table. They don't have a full bar, but they sell Mimosas and beer.

They have a nice variety of unique pancakes to choose from. I spotted Marzipan, Tres Leche, and more. My husband ordered the Chicken Enchiladas with rice, while my son ordered the Dubai Pancakes. My other son and I shared an order of the Dubai Pancakes. One order is huge with three large pancakes. They're topped with chocolate sauce, strawberries, pistachio sauce, and the crunchy Kadaifi. There was even some edible gold on top for an even more special touch! Dubai Chocolate has been a trendy dessert for a while, and we've tried a variety of treats with it! I can't get enough of it, so I couldn't wait to try it in pancake form.

Wow- that first bite moment! I ate with my eyes, and my camera first, of course. The presentation was gorgeous and made us drool. But the first bite was pure magic. The combination of fluffy and soft pancake, along with the flavors and textures of the toppings, was too good. I ate around half of an order, and it was the perfect amount. My husband really liked his Enchiladas, and the bites I took were yummy. We also were brought out some complimentary house-made chips covered in cinnamon and sugar. These was really good and a nice touch to begin our brunch.

After indulging in some delicious pancakes, we took some photos of the neat decor around the restaurant and outside. They had a vintage Mickey telephone I was excited about. This was such a fun, tasty, and unique brunch in Burien!
