A Visit to Swanky Scoop in Woodinville

My split scoop of artisan ice cream from Swanky Scoop in Woodinville!

After exploring The Somm Hotel and Spa and dining on their rooftop restaurant, The Shed (you can see that post right here), we grabbed some ice cream at Swanky Scoop. This is a local Woodinville spot with small batch, artisan ice cream. As we were hanging out at a park after lunch, I looked up where to find ice cream in the area and this place caught my eye.

They feature a rotating menu with unique flavors and offer both dairy and non-dairy flavors. The day we visited, they were selling a Pickle flavor which I wish I would have sampled. But out of all of life's regrets, I can live with this one. The flavors on the menu board sounded too good to be true and it was going to be hard to choose one. But luckily for me, you can order a split scoop- half of one and half of another.

When I saw the list of flavors, I was excited. I couldn't wait to sample the Lemon Meringue Pie, and when I tried it, my taste buds lit up. The lemon flavor was tart and fresh, and the graham cracker pieces added some great texture. I also got the Mandarin Goat Cheese, and it tasted as lovely as it sounds. The goat cheese flavor was subtle, but so flavorful, creamy, and nutty. Both of my flavors paired well together, and I really have no regrets.

I got my split scoop in a cute cup, but both of my sons ordered kids sizes in waffle cones. The price for the kid's scoops was $4.95 each which I thought was pretty reasonable for high quality, local ice cream. My regular scoop was $6.95. One of my sons enjoyed the Caramel Cookie Crunch and my other son chose the Death by Chocolate.

One of my favorite things is trying local ice cream and Swanky Scoops lived up to my expectations!
