A Visit to Sweet Scoop in Georgetown

My Sea Salt Caramel ice cream cone and my son's Chocolate one from the new Sweet Scoop in Seattle!

When I saw a brand-new ice cream shop near my neighborhood, I knew I needed to check it out. Sweet Scoop doesn't have a website yet, so I didn't know what to expect. The store is located right next to one of our favorite Teriyaki spots, I Luv Teriyaki, and they're even in the same building.

Sweet Scoop is a small shop, but the essentials of a good ice cream shop are all there. You walk in and choose your hand-scooped ice cream, and you can even try any sample before you commit. The prices are great, $4 per scoop and you can add a waffle cone for a buck. The flavors sounded delicious- I spotted a Huckleberry, a Blackberry, and Espresso one, and more. I decided on a scoop of the Sea Salt Caramel in a waffle cone. There's also a huge container of sprinkles you can add to your ice cream at no additional charge.

The total for each ice cream cone was $5 before tip, not bad for Seattle prices. My son chose a scoop of Chocolate in a waffle cone, and my other son selected a scoop of Cotton Candy in a waffle cone. Both boys loved their ice cream. I really liked the texture and flavor of mine as well. This was a perfect summertime activity for us! I would probably return to try some more flavors, especially the Strawberry Cheesecake and the Espresso Explosion.
