Trying unique fruit desserts at Ladun Treats
Delicious looking fruit-shaped desserts from Ladun Treats in Everett, WA.
For edible art in the shape of fruit, check out Ladun Treats, located north of Seattle in Everett. These pretty fruit pastries are lined up perfectly in the display case, and you can't help but want one of each. My sons each wanted to try two of the fruit pastries and I wanted to try at least one, so we ended up purchasing five of the fruit pastries. This hurt my wallet, since they were each around $10-$12 apiece! Ouch. You can see the care and precision which goes into each one, sort of justifying the cost.
The pastries are very fragile and best eaten with a fork. The outside is chocolate and the inside is a cream-based filling. They aren't very rich or overly sweet. These desserts would be perfect with teatime. The employee didn't ask if we were taking them to-go or enjoying them there and boxed them up for us. I did notice other people had their desserts presented on nice, floral plates. This would have looked so much nicer for my photos, since we ate our desserts there.
Our family tried two strawberry pastries, a mango, a peach, and a raspberry one. They all looked amazing, but they were a little too light for me since I like my desserts to be sweeter. This is definitely a me problem, and I know plenty of people who love fruit-based, less indulgent treats.
If you feel like treating yourself to some delicate and gourmet desserts, head to Everett and try these bright, fruit-shaped pastries!
