Brunch at River Roast

For our last meal in Chicago, we had brunch at River Roast. It was Saturday and our flight wasn't until later in the day, so it worked out nicely. This restaurant is located along the Chicago River and has some nice views while you dine on the patio. They are known for their hand carved meats and they have live music inside. We were seated outside on the patio and I loved the views of Chicago's buildings and the river. There were also a lot of boats and even kayaks going by.

I had a Mimosa and my husband had an Old Fashioned. Then we all shared the Cinnamon Rolls and the Chicken and Waffles. My husband swooned over the chicken and it was his favorite food of the trip. Our boys enjoyed the waffles part of the dish and I went for the cinnamon rolls. They were presented in a hot, cast iron pan and there were three ooey and gooey rolls. They had a caramel sauce that was just too good and they were sticky and soft, the perfect cinnamon roll. What a nice way to end our time in Chicago-iconic views and delicious eats!
