Dinner at the Harvest Vine | Winter 2026
A dinner at the Harvest Vine is always a special treat at this Spanish gem in Madison Park, Seattle. While visiting, you'll be transported to Spain because of the ambiance, food, and warm hospitality. I've never visited Spain, but this restaurant feels like an authentic sneak peak of what I'd expect to discover.
There are two floors of dining, the main floor having more a lounge feel with a long chef's counter, and smaller high-top tables. At the chef's counter, you can watch your tapas being prepared. Downstairs is more suited for bigger tables, private parties, and families. We always dine downstairs since we go with our sons. The food is served family style and is coursed. The cuisine is tapas style featuring classic Basque-style dishes.
We started with a glass of Garnacha red wine. This is a lighter wine, similar to a Pinot Noir. They have a huge wine selection, with most wines imported from Spain. We started with the bread and olive oil. The bread is from nearby Grand Central Bakery, and my kids can never get enough of it. We also ordered the Cheese Plate. This comes with four cheeses and some tasty accompaniments. There was a Manchego, a Bleu Cheese, Goat Cheese, and a Cow's Milk Cheese. This is a good way to try the variation of Spanish Cheeses.
Next, we tried the Cured Tuna Croquettes. These were a new item we hadn't tried before. I liked the texture of these, but the taste reminded me of plain Tuna cakes we make at home. Then we had the Grilled Venison with Oyster Mushrooms. These pieces of venison are cooked medium and are tender. The licorice root pairs well. This is my favorite meat dish here.
For dessert, we ordered three items- the Flan with Espresso Custard and Chocolate Ganache, the Tarte De Musica, and the Flourless Chocolate Tarte. The Flan at the Harvest Vine is the best we've tasted, no notes! The Tarte De Musica is something special they make every holiday season. This dessert has five kinds of nuts and has a caramel tart with a fig date puree. This tart simply tastes like Christmastime. The Flourless Chocolate Cake is not overly sweet but tastes like rich chocolate and is served with homemade whipped cream. The desserts simply sing here, and you can taste the quality in every bite.
A meal at the Harvest Vine was a wonderful way to start off 2026, and I look forward to my next visit enjoying Spanish food and wine!
