Dinner at Star Sushi in Capitol Hill
My Spicy Tuna Roll with cucumber and avocado.
Our family recently dined at Star Sushi on Broadway in Capitol Hill. This lively bar and restaurant has an extensive menu with many options of Japanese cuisine. They also have signature craft cocktails. We found the service to be slow, but it was worth it. We started off with a cocktail. I chose a Yuzu Lemon Drop and my husband ordered a Dancing Queen. The drinks were bright and delicious. They each had a candy-coated rim that tasted delightful. I love anything Yuzu flavored, so I adored my cocktail. He also tried a Star Cocktail later in our meal that featured whiskey and ginger liqueur.
He had a Red Dragon Roll and I had a Spicy Tuna Roll. My son ordered the Chicken Teriyaki, and my other son had an Alaska Roll with Salmon. We all really enjoyed our food. The sushi tasted fresh and flavorful. The Chicken Teriyaki we all ate a bit of while we waited for our Sushi was pretty standard, although not as good as some of the Teriyaki shops Seattle is known for.
Star Sushi get busy, and the drinks and Sushi take a while. Pack your patience here. The service is friendly, and the restaurant is dimly lit for a relaxing evening out eating delicious Japanese food.
