Brunch at Woo Kitchen and Bar for Mother's Day Weekend

The Lychee French Toast from Woo Kitchen and Bar in Queen Anne.

My family and I went out for brunch the day before Mother's Day. I chose Woo Kitchen and Bar in Queen Anne. They opened about six months ago and feature dishes from Southeast Asia. The feel of the restaurant is contemporary, and the space is nice and open with plenty of seating.

I started with an Ube Espresso Martini. The drink was bright purple and tasted like a traditional Espresso Martini, but with a delicious and creamy Ube flavor. I loved it! My husband enjoyed a cocktail from their signature cocktail menu. I'm not sure which drink it was, but it tasted delicious when I tried it. To eat I ordered the Lychee French Toast. This bright and fruity brunch item tasted incredible. The French Toast was made with Brioche Bread and was made with a sweet cream egg custard. The fresh Lychee, strawberries, and blueberries were tasty, too. My sons also ordered the French Toast, but they wanted theirs with just maple syrup and whipped cream.

My husband selected the Silog dish. This large platter had two fried eggs, garlic rice, chopped tomatoes, and Longanisa Pork Sausage. He really liked this dish. I tried the pork, and it was tender and full of flavor. Our server Vivian was really sweet and even took some family photos of us at our table and standing by one of the walls with the cool lit-up signs.

We loved how unique their menu is and how solid the hand-crafted cocktails are. They're in a good location in Queen Anne, being near Seattle Center and Climate Pledge Arena. I had such a fun brunch with my family to celebrate Mother's Day!
