Dinner at Big Chicken in Renton

Some tasty looking eats from Big Chicken, Shaq's chicken sandwich spot in Renton, WA.

Big Chicken opened this year at the Renton Landing. Founded by the Basketball Hall of famer Shaq O'Neal in 2018, this Chicken Sandwich chain has locations around the U.S. The food is inspired by the home-cooked meals Shaq loved from his childhood. The Chicken Sandwiches are big and juicy, and there are seven types to choose from. They have fries, milkshakes, beer and wine, and desserts. They have really big chocolate chip cookies the size of dinner plates. The ice cream sandwiches also looked good.

Since the chicken sandwiches were so big, I made the mistake of sharing one with my son. We chose the Big and Sloppy. This one has mac and cheese, crispy fried onions, and a roasted garlic BBQ aioli. He liked it so much I barely got a few bites. My other son ordered the kids' chicken tenders which came with a drink and Sweet Potato Waffles Fries. Luckily, I was able to eat what he couldn't finish. My husband ordered a Mac and Jack beer and the Big Aristotle. This chicken sandwich has Muenster Cheese, crispy fried onions, and a sweet and smokey Memphis BBQ sauce.

We really enjoyed the chicken sandwiches. The size was good, making the price of ten bucks per sandwich worth it. Along with fountain drinks, they also have a Strawberry Lemonade and a Pineapple Cream Soda to choose from. We tried both of these drinks and they were so good and refreshing. The Pineapple one was unique, tart, and bubbly. My son loved this one.

At Big Chicken they also have a sauce bar. For some reason they didn't have Ranch or Honey Mustard, but they had a Shaq sauce and several BBQ sauces to choose from. This was my only complaint, since I love to dip my fries and chicken tenders in Ranch.

If you like Chicken Sandwiches, you'll definitely like Big Chicken!
