Dinner at The 5 Point Cafe

My fam and I are enjoying eating out at Seattle's outdoor dining spots. There's a chill in the air, but many places in the city have covered dining areas with big space heaters. This way, everyone can dine out safely. The vibes are cozy and it feels like Amsterdam to me. When my husband and I traveled there years ago during a cold January, a lot of the cafes were like this. They were enclosed areas with heaters and you were invited to hang out, stay a while, and drink really strong espresso with biscuits. If you're willing to venture out, I'd recommend dining at one of the many spots in Seattle that offer this.

We checked out The 5 Point Cafe near the Space Needle because their outdoor space looked warm and inviting. They have about 6 tables, but we only waited about twenty minutes. It was a little chilly waiting outside, but the time passed quickly. I wanted to eat at The 5 Point because of their Peanut Butter Chocolate Chips Pancakes. They sounded unique and tasty. I ordered those and then I chose a warm cocktail, a Hot Cocoa with Peppermint Schnapps. The drink was big and really sweet. It was super minty from the Schnapps! It was hard to finish because of how rich it was. The pancakes were large and also quite chocolaty. Maybe there is such a thing as too much chocolate? I didn't taste a lot of peanut butter in the pancakes. These might be fun to try making at home!

My husband had a French Dip Sandwich with fries and my sons shared an order of pancakes. My son really wanted some Hot Cocoa. He was excited to get a mug of steaming hot cocoa. He had fun sipping it while it cooled off a little. Our server also brought some ice cubes for the cocoa to cool of faster.

We had a fun pre-Thanksgiving outing in Seattle. Our meal was relaxing, cozy, and satisfying.
