A Church High Tea
Today I attended a tea at my church which is held pretty much every summer and is hosted by one of the women's fellowship groups. Its always wonderful to catch up with friends and of course, eat! The food this year was tasty just like it always is. Outside of this high tea I've never been to a traditional one in a fancy hotel or tea house. But this high tea always seems just as elegant as those. Here is the menu we had today.
Tea Party Menu

Spinach Spanakopita
Cream Cheese Garden Mini
Three Layer Sandwich
Smoked Salmon Tart

Chicken Puff Cups and Three Layer Sandwiches at our High Tea.
The Spinach Spanakopita and Petite Cheesecakes.
Cream Cheese Garden Mini.
Smoked Salmon Tart.
Some refreshing fruit to go with our savory and sweet bites.
A platter of Pecan Bars, Petite Cheesecakes and Shortbread Bars dipped in Chocolate.
A close up of the Petite Cheesecakes which were topped with raspberries.
Every place setting had its own unique tea cup and saucer. A guest of the tea brought her entire collection of 110 tea cups to share with us.
Doesn't this look good? Me being such a fan of sweets, my favorite food was the Shortbread Bar dipped in Chocolate. The shortbread was so soft and buttery and you can never go wrong with anything dipped in chocolate.
