Heart Pizzas for Valentine's Day at Mioposto
I followed my heart, and it led me to Mioposto to eat a heart pizza!
This neighborhood pizzeria in Seattle serves up some incredible Neapolitan style pizzas. They have four locations, but we like to visit the one in Mt. Baker. This year for Valentine's Day they're serving up heart shaped pizzas! So I had to go and try one, of course! And what's even better than enjoying some yummy and cute shaped pizza? Helping others! Twenty percent of the restaurant's proceeds are currently going to Mary's Place, a non-profit in Seattle that helps woman and children who are homeless. You can order a heart-shaped pizza with Pepperoni, Cheese, or Margherita.
They also have a great happy hour with eight-inch pizzas for $10. The heart-shaped pizzas aren't the happy hour ones, but instead the full-size pizzas. But they do have some cheap apps and cocktails, which we love. For V-Day, Mioposto also has a pretty themed drink- a Sweetheart Spritz. I ordered one to start off my meal. I got a Pepperoni heart pizza, too. My sons also got a heart pizza, but a Margherita one. And my husband chose the Lamb pizza off the happy hour menu. He also got a cocktail, the Big Smoke. This drink had sherry, mezcal, tequila, and tasted sweet and oh so smoky. I wish I would have ordered one, too!
Our heart pizzas were so cute and fun looking. The crust was amazing with the perfect chew. The pizza was thin and foldable, and I loved the taste of the pepperonis. There could have been more, though. I should have ordered extra! Everyone else in my family loved their pizzas, and both my boys polished off their whole pizzas!
Mioposto is one of the best spots in town to get this style of pizza. Definitely check them out at one of their four locations if you like Neapolitan style!
