A Visit to Molly Tea at Westfield Southcenter for their Soft Open

My Premium Jasmine Grape Salted Cheese drink from the new Molly Tea!

Today I visited Westfield Southcenter for one reason- to go to the brand-new Molly Tea soft open. Today the drinks were 12% off and then they'll have the grand opening with a buy one, get one free deal October 16th-18th. The soft open runs until the 15th. Since it was a weekday, the line wasn't too long. There were about fifteen people ahead of me in line, and an associate was handing out small menus we could keep.

Molly Tea is a tea brand from Shenzhen, China that was founded in 2021. Their drinks are unique because of the floral scents and Jasmine-forward tea. Their aesthetic is a pretty pink and their new store is bright and open with a modern design, perfect for sipping tea. When you enter the store, you'll be greeted by a Molly statue, the brand mascot. She's a character inspired by the jasmine flower, who gives off a feeling of healing, curiosity, joy, and innocence. I love cute characters, so I just had to pose by her.

It didn't take long for them to make my drink. I ordered a cold beverage, a Premium Jasmine Grape Salted Cheese. With the soft opening discount, it was $7.29. The drink was a pretty light purple color and tasted so refreshing. The flavors were pretty subtle all together, and not overly floral or grape forward. I could taste the Salted Cheese, and that was my favorite part. The drink reminded me a little of cereal milk, like when I was a kid and I drank the milk left in the bowl once my Fruit Loops were finished. This was always tasty, and all milk-based drinks should taste that good.

Molly Tea was fun to try. I'm curious to taste the hot drinks in the winter. I really like the way the store looks, and it's a solid addition to Westfield Southcenter.
