Celebrating my sons' birthday at Maggiano's in Bellevue

A slice of Layered Chocolate Cake with chocolate mousse for dessert at Maggiano's Little Italy.

To celebrate my sons' 9th Birthday, we took them out for dinner in Bellevue at Maggiano's. We'd been for brunch in the past, but we hadn't tried their dinner items yet. The Italian dishes looked really good, plus they have a promotion where you can take home one of their Classic entrees for just $5 if you order an entree. I took home the Taylor St Baked Ziti with Italian Sausage. These dishes are prepared fresh every day and you take them home and bake them.

I started with a Red Sangria. It tasted pretty sweet and took a while to drink. They brought some fresh bread to the table and poured some olive oil and balsamic tableside. They have a kids' menu, so my sons ordered the Ziti pasta. One son had Alfredo and my other son had butter on his pasta. I had the Fettuccine Alfredo with Herb-roasted Chicken and my husband had Spaghetti with Meat Sauce. The portions at Maggiano's are huge. Our entrees were each enough for two people. I had a lot of leftovers from this meal!

During our dinner they had two women playing violins. Our server knew it was our sons' birthday, so when it was time for dessert, one of the women came to our table and played our boys 'Happy Birthday' on her violin. It was so pretty and a special experience. They received a plate of the Lemon Cookies. We also ordered the New York Cheesecake with Strawberries and the Chocolate Layered Cake with chocolate mousse. Both desserts were delicious and a perfect way to end my sons' birthday dinner!

  2. What a wonderful birthday celebration! 🎉 Maggiano’s in Bellevue sounds like the perfect spot — great food, live violin music, and that special “Happy Birthday” moment made it unforgettable. For your next celebration, you could add a Birthday Neon Signs for a fun, festive touch — it would make amazing photo backdrops and elevate the party vibe!

  3. What a wonderful birthday celebration! It sounds like your sons had an unforgettable evening — from the huge, comforting portions to the special violin performance. Maggiano’s always feels warm and festive, but your description really brings the experience to life. The desserts alone sound worth the trip, especially that Layered Chocolate Cake with chocolate mousse… absolutely mouthwatering!

If you ever decide to throw a party at home or even decorate a private dining space for future birthdays, Birthday Neon Signs would add such a fun, modern touch. They make the room feel instantly celebratory, and kids get so excited seeing their name or “Happy Birthday” glowing in bright neon. It would match that magical energy from the violin serenade perfectly!

Thanks for sharing such a sweet celebration — it truly sounded special from start to finish.

  4. Wow, the Mamby on the Beach schedule looks incredible this year! So many great artists packed into the lineup—it’s honestly hard to choose who to catch. The festival map is super helpful too; love how easy it is to plan out the day. Can’t wait to soak up the music and beach vibes!

By the way, if anyone’s getting festival-ready and wants to look and feel their best, I definitely recommend checking out belleviecosmetic.com They’ve got some great options for boosting your glow before a big event.
