Halloween desserts too Boo-tiful not to share
Today is Halloween and it's time for a sugar rush! Here are some ghoulish and boo-tiful treats to make at home and even a special, scary doughnut from Krispy Kreme! I also found a couple of spooky and cute cookies at Target. My kiddos are skipping the trick-or-treating this year because of Covid, so we are hanging out at home, whipping up treats, and I'll be hiding candy around the house. Have a safe and happy Halloween!
You make me batty.
I created these fun bat ice cream cones using Cookies and Cream Ice Cream, chocolate cookies for the wings, and candy corn for the ears.
Life is gourd when you've got pancakes.
For breakfast today I made Pumpkin Pancakes with cream cheese frosting for a ghost on top.
I'll include the recipe at the end of the post. These pancakes were so spooky good and they tasted like Pumpkin Cheesecake. Yum!
Right now, Krispy Kreme has some cute Halloween doughnuts. They sell out fast, but I was lucky to grab this "Wolfie" doughnut. This was the best Krispy Kreme doughnut ever and I loved how thick the chocolate frosting was! The ears are Cinnamon Toast crunch. So good!
Pumpkin Pancakes
Ingredients:
2 cups Pancake Mix
1 cup milk
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup canned pumpkin
1 t. ground cinnamon
1/2 t. ground nutmeg
1 T. of butter
Directions:
In a mixing bowl, combine all ingredients. In a skillet on medium- high heat, melt 1 T. of butter. Cook pancakes in skillet and set aside.
Cream Cheese Frosting
Ingredients:
I just made enough to top several of the pancakes with a cream cheese frosting "ghost"
2 T. butter, softened
2 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup powdered sugar
pinch of salt
1/8 of vanilla
Once pancakes are cooked and cooled off a little, create ghosts on top. Use chocolate chips for eyes. Enjoy!
