National Brownie Day-Homemade Brownies

Today is National Brownie Day and to celebrate I'm going to post a recipe for really easy brownies.  Who needs a box mix when you can whip these up.  I can taste the difference between these homemade brownies and the ones in the box.  Those are really convenient but if you have a few extra minutes, you can use this recipe.  They are moist, thick and fluffy and I loved the chocolate taste.  Go ahead and give them a try, you won't regret making them!

Homemade Brownies

1 stick butter
1 cup sugar
1 large egg
3/4 c. flour
5 T. semisweet cocoa powder

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Place butter in small bowl and melt. With wooden spoon mix rest of ingredients until smooth. Pour into small baking pan. Bake for 15 minutes.

Note:  You may want to double or triple the recipe since this recipe only makes a small pan.
