An anniversary lunch at Copperleaf Restaurant and Bar
The Fancy Grilled Cheese with Tomato-Fennel Soup from Copperleaf Restaurant and Bar.
My husband and I just celebrated our 19th wedding anniversary! To celebrate, we had lunch at the Cedarbrook Lodge at Copperleaf Restaurant and Bar. They serve Northwest cuisine and are located in the SeaTac area. I'd been hearing about this spot for years and they've won some awards.
They have both indoor and outdoor seating, with a big fireplace featured in the dining room. We dined inside, near the fireplace, even though the day was warm and sunny. I like to feel the ambiance of a restaurant when I first visit, so I usually will sit inside if given the choice.
We each started with an Espresso Martini. This was a standard one, a little bitter and a lot strong, this is my favorite cocktail in all of the lands. Most places can make a good one and Copperleaf Restaurant delivered. I took a photo of my drink outside and checked out the outdoor space.
I ordered the Fancy Grilled Cheese which also came with a tasty Tomato-Fennel Soup for dipping the Grilled Cheese into. The first bite of my sandwich was pure heaven because of the savory white cheddar and the sweet fig jam.
My husband ordered the Pastrami Croque Madame. This was a large serving and quite heavy. It also came with some delicious Hand-Cut fries. After eating, we checked out the lobby, and I got some more photos of the dining room. The hotel has a rustic feel, surrounded by trees and ponds, that made it feel far from the city. This was a lovely anniversary meal at Copperleaf Restaurant! Back at home, we had some cheesecake with a one and a nine candle for our 19th Anniversary. Cheers!
