Trying Soft Serve at Day Made Kaffe

The incredibly creamy Goat's Milk Soft Serve topped with Sea Salt and Olive Oil.

I checked out a new Copenhagen Cafe located in Pioneer Square. Day Made Kaffe offers specialty pour overs, espresso, soft serve, and pastries. The cafe has a minimalistic design and was founded by a barista trained in Copenhagen. They offer a nice selection of seating, both on the main floor and the upstairs loft.

I visited to try their soft serve. They currently offer three kinds. A Goat's Milk Soft Serve with Olive Oil and Sea Salt, an option to make it an Affagado, and a Matcha Soft Serve. I ordered the Goat's Milk Soft Serve with the Olive Oil and Sea Salt. I was taken aback by how smooth and creamy the soft serve was. The Olive Oil added a robust and nutty element that I adored. And the Sea Salt gave it that Sea Salt Caramel vibe I love so much in ice cream. This soft serve is the ultimate sweet and savory experience, and I'm here for it.

I'd been seeing this flavor combo of ice cream online and I was always curious about it. You can easily make this yourself at home, using high quality vanilla ice cream and olive oil. Day Made Kaffe is the first place I've seen in Seattle offering this unique ice cream flavor. The price was high, at almost $10. I'm thinking the ingredients are really nice, as one would hope for this price point.

Would you try ice cream with sea salt and olive oil?
