Dinner at D' La Santa

Come for the vibes but stay for the tacos and Margaritas.

Friday night rolled around, and our family gathered for dinner at a traditional Mexican restaurant in Seattle, D' La Santa. Here, the authentic cuisine is served on handmade clay dishes and a gorgeous lighted tree dominates the dining room. This spot brings the vibes, hospitality, and solid drinks and food.

My husband and I both started with a traditional lime Margarita on the rocks. The glasses were big and the drink was strong. Our server brought over a large platter of fresh toppings such as onions, salsa, cilantro, and radishes for our dishes. We both ordered the Birria Tacos. Theirs have both beef and pork and come with three tacos, along with consommé and spicy salsa for dipping.

We both polished off our whole plate, and we were stuffed. The birria meat was hearty, tender, and savory. I love how the shredded birria tastes with the melted cheese. I probably should have stopped after two tacos, but these were just so tasty.

They also have a weekend brunch that looks so good. They have a Mimosa cart, a hot cocoa cart, and a pastry cart that comes by each table. This is so popular that wait times are long, and they don't take reservations. But we may come back in the future and try this delicious sounding brunch!
