September Eats and Drinks
The month of September is quickly wrapping up, so I wanted to highlight the food and drinks we tried that didn't make it into the other posts.
In Georgetown, you'll find Post Pike, where they serve amazing New York Style Pizzas, and strong and really tasty cocktails. This Aperol Spritz was the best one I've had, and it was only $8 during Happy Hour.
We attended a cousin's BD party, and our aunt made these delicious cupcakes. They were really light with whipped topping and so much fresh fruit.
Last week, The Summer I Turned Pretty had its season finale. I was really into the show and loved how it ended. Since the episodes were set in Paris, I bought some fresh croissants from The Flora Bakehouse to enjoy during the show. They were so flaky and buttery! Oui, Oui!
One Friday for lunch my husband and I had lunch at The Can Bar in White Center. The patio season in Seattle is numbered, so we sat outside. Their drinks were nice and strong! I enjoyed a Sidecar that was perfect.
My twin boys turned twelve this month! We celebrated by going out to dinner and then having a party with all of their friends at the park. They wanted to eat at a Mexican place where they place a Sombrero on your head and then sing! We chose Azteca and they loved it. We ordered some Fried Ice Cream and Churros, but they also brought out some Chocolate Mousse for the birthday boys. Core memories activated!
This year I let each son get his own cake for the party and decorate it. They each chose the flavors and colors, too. One boy chose yellow and the other had blue. Then I bought a number 12 candle for each cake.
I baked some Bakery-Style Chocolate Chip Muffins for their Birthday breakfast. These were a hit! I found the recipe here.
Thanks for checking out my September food and drinks post. Cheers!
