If you love Twix candy bars, you'll love these buttery, Twix Blondies. Blondies are like Brownies, but instead of cocoa powder, you use brown sugar. This recipe uses a whole bag of Twix mini candy bars and one cup of chocolate chips. I hadn't baked in a while, so I went onto the Cookies and Cups website to get some ideas. I follow her on Instagram and she's always posting awesome dessert recipes. Her recipe for Twix Blondies caught my eye. I'm glad I made these. They were fun to bake and are such a good treat! Her recipe calls for sea salt sprinkled on top, but my boys aren't big fans of the added salt, so I omitted that part.
3/4 cup butter, melted
2 cups light brown sugar
2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon sea salt
2 1\2 cups all-purpose flour
30 mini-Twix bars, coarsely chopped
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a 13x9 baking pan with foil and coat with nonstick spray. Set aside.
Using a mixer, combine melted butter and brown sugar on low speed. Add the eggs, Vanilla, baking powder, and salt until smooth.
Add the flour until just combined.
Stir in the chocolate chips and Twix until evenly incorporated.
Spread batter into prepared pan and bake 25-30 minutes until the edges are set and the center is almost set.
Cool completely before cutting into bars.
