A Weekend Getaway to Sequim

Sequim, Washington is located near the Olympic Mountains and is fifteen miles from Port Angeles.  To get there from Seattle you can take a thirty five minute ferry ride to Bainbridge Island.  Then it is just an hour drive to Sequim.  It's a small and quiet area compared to Seattle and makes for a nice weekend getaway.  My husband has family there and we love to visit them.  There's also a beach we always visit, too.  This was the first time with our sons and their favorite part about the beach was throwing rocks and sand, making it a different experience from the times it was just my husband and I.  But it was a fun and memorable weekend, none the less.
Passengers on the ferry, get ready to disembark on Bainbridge Island.

Our ferry pulling into Bainbridge Island and getting ready to dock.

The beach we visit every time in Sequim.  Funny, we can't remember the name of it though.

All roads lead to Rome?  Or Sequim!

Sweet and Sour Chicken from The Moon Palace is always a good idea.

The pastries from Pane d' Amore Bakery were delicious.

The totem pole at the Civic Center in downtown caught my eye.

Take a seat and relax, you're in Sequim!
