Checking out The Camp West for drinks in West Seattle
Signature Cocktails from The Camp West.
My husband and I had the chance to go to The Camp West for drinks and an appetizer. This is a bar is West Seattle and their slogan is 'Where adults go to camp'. Their whole theme is a woodsy, outdoor theme and it's so cute! They even had camping chairs for some of the seats and the water is served in big Stanley cups- the kind we drank hot cocoa out of while ice fishing as kids! Since I was born and raised in MT, I appreciated the theming. There were elk mounts on the walls, just like at my mom's house in MT.
The Camp West had a themed signature cocktail menu, so we had fun trying some of them. We each ordered one and then shared another. The names were fun. We tried the Stargazer, the It Takes Two To Mango, and the Glamping Enthusiast. My favorite was the Stargazer drink. This was served in a pretty glass with mountains on it and was garnished with a dried starfruit. The cocktail had rum, falernum, orgeat, lime, and passionfruit. Not sure what a couple of those ingredients are, but the flavors of the drink were on point and delicious.
The mango drink had rum, mezcal, Aperol, pineapple, mango, and lime. This one was really good, too. And the third drink, the Glamping Enthusiast was a pretty purple and had vodka, lychee liqueur, lemon juice, dragonfruit, and soda water. We also shared an order of the Delmonico Steak Bites. This warm and savory dish had a creamy parmesan garlic sauce, sauteed mushrooms, and tender steak. It was served with two pieces of grilled sourdough for dipping in the sauce. We enjoyed the dish, but we didn't read the description correctly, so we were expecting plain steak bites without any sauce. This dish was hearty and went well with the outdoor theme.
This camping themed bar was so fun and I'm glad we got to check it out!
The entrance had a lot of fun outdoor things to look at.
