Trying the new Mr. Dim Sum at Westfield Southcenter

An order of the Custard Bao Buns from the brand-new Mr. Dim Sum.

If you're craving Dim Sum while shopping at Westfield Southcenter, or Southcenter Mall as us locals refer to it, you can now find it at Mr. Dim Sum. They just opened a week or so ago in the Restaurant Row area of the mall, right across from Gen Korean, the AYCE spot.

We found the prices to be steeper than the dim sum prices in our own neighborhood and in Seattle's Chinatown. But location is everything and there's a price to pay for being able to eat this type of cuisine at the shopping mall.

The interior is bright, pretty, and upscale. The menu is full of the classic dishes you'd find at any dim sum place.

We ordered a bunch of dishes for the four of us. These are the Pork Dumplings, which were full of meat and nicely fried.

The Custard Bao Buns are always my favorite. The buns are so soft and the sweet custard is so satisfying.

My husband always orders the Beef Rice Roll. Not my favorite, but a classic dish nonetheless.

Another favorite of his is the Lotus Leaf with sticky rice.

These are the Chicken Bao Buns which my family also enjoys.

The Roasted Duck with a plum sauce was really enjoyable. The meat was tender, and the skin was really crispy.

These were pretty standard Vegetable Spring Rolls, but one must always order some when having dim sum!

My boys love these Chinese Donuts. They usually come in long pieces, but here they were served cold and cut into pieces.

They also have an order space with tables.

All in all, we enjoyed our dinner at Mr. Dim Sum. We've gone out for dim sum many times and its always tasty! But I would probably stick to the place in my neighborhood where the prices are cheaper.
