Drinks at Firn, Pioneer Square's first rooftop bar
Cocktails from the new rooftop bar, Firn, in Pioneer Square- located on top of the Populus Hotel.
Just recently, Pioneer Square got a brand-new hotel with a rooftop bar and restaurant. The rooftop bar is called Firn and is Pioneer Square's first. The hotel is Populus and also has a restaurant named Salt Harvest. The hotel is located in the historic Westland Building.
Firn is located on the 6th floor and offers views of downtown Seattle and the stadiums. This rooftop oasis feels like a reprieve from the city and is a beautiful contrast between urban and nature. Plants and greenery surround the patio, while the skyscrapers glimmer not far away. When we visited, the afternoon was clear as day with there wasn't a cloud in the sky. The Space Needle, Columbia Tower, and the Smith Tower all added to the fabulous views as we sipped our cocktails.
I enjoyed one of my favorite classic drinks, an Espresso Martini. My husband ordered a Manhattan and drank it while taking in the rooftop vibes and clear views of the skyline. Firn practically photographs itself, as photo opportunities are everywhere. There is the outdoor rooftop area, with tables, and also tables inside where the bar is.
The service was welcoming and hospitable. There was someone to greet us as we entered the hotel lobby and let us know what floor Firn was on. This hotel, along with Firn, is such a gorgeous and much needed addition to Pioneer Square!
