The Molten Cake Flight from Hot Cakes in SODO!

Recently, the SODO area of Seattle got a new spot for sweet and chocolatey desserts! Hot Cakes opened a new location at the SODO Urbanworks on 1st Ave. We've visited their other locations in Ballard and Capitol Hill, but the unique thing about their new location is the unique Molten Cake Flights! You can choose three mini molten cakes from the menu. Each molten cake is accompanied with vanilla ice cream, sauce, and toppings.

We chose the Dark Decadence, the Gooey Brownie Cake, and the S'mores. The presentation was so fun and definitely fit for foodies. Each of the molten cakes were rich and decadent, and they paired so well with the ice cream. I loved the salted caramel and the chocolate sauces on the ice cream.

I enjoyed the Mini Molten Flight with my family, and it was challenging to finish! Each bite tasted richer than the next. I recommend sharing with a friend or two! Even though the portions are small, they're even sweeter than they look. My favorite molten cake was the S'mores one. And my favorite sauce was the vegan caramel that came with the Gooey Brownie molten cake.

Their space has lots of seating and even a photo booth! This makes for such a fun experience, because who wouldn't want to take selfies with friends or family and then indulge in a sweet treat? This is my idea of a perfect way to spend a Saturday!
