A Visit to The Donut Factory in the U-District

Today is National Doughnut Day! Where's your favorite spot to get doughnuts? I love trying different places because there's many ways to make a doughnut. A couple of days ago we tried The Donut Factory in the U-District. Their original location is in Lynnwood and they recently opened the U-District store.

They have a lot of unique donuts such as a Crobar, a Croissant Doughnut. There's also ones with marshmallows on top, some with Nutella, and a donut topped with a Ferrero Rocher. I tried a Glazed Crobar and I enjoyed this glazed donut/ flaky croissant combo. Our sons had one with Fruity Pebbles and a strawberry donut with sprinkles. My husband had a Bavarian Cream donut. It was really dense like an Old Fashioned and it had a nice and light vanilla pudding filling.

They also have ice cream they can make donut sandwiches with. And you can even special order donuts with your initial and those are huge! If donuts are your thing, check out either of their locations!
