A Visit to Brother Joe in Georgetown

Just down the street from my house is a new craft coffee and tea house, Brother Joe, in Georgetown. And I just may have to become a regular there because of the chocolate chip cookies alone. The coffee is also of suburb quality. This is the place to take that mid afternoon coffee break. But back to the cookies. They greeted me as soon as I entered and they beckoned to me. They are giant, thick, full of chocolate chips, and are topped with the perfect amount of sea salt. To go with my cookie, I selected an 8 oz. Off-White Velour coffee. This coffee had espresso with salted caramel and white chocolate. The owner was super friendly and recommend it. I ended up enjoying not only the nice caffeine buzz but the subtle flavor and pretty latte art. At Brother Joe, they take pride in what they do, making their own syrups and purchasing their coffee from small farms. They also serve brunch and lunch and I may have to partake in that soon. I can't think of a better spot to have close to home.
