A Visit to the Seattle Aquarium to see the new Ocean Pavilion

If it's been a while since you visited the Seattle Aquarium, or have never visited, I recommend checking it out. They have recently added a whole other building across the street, the Ocean Pavillion. This expansion is part of the new Overlook Walk which connects the waterfront to Pike Place Market.

There's a lot to check out at the aquarium now. I was impressed by the new Ocean Pavillion, and it was neat to check out. If you like gift shops like me, there's also one to shop at inside, along with the shop in the original part of the aquarium. They also take your photo, and they'll hand you a postcard you can show to check out your photos. I couldn't resist buying a print of our family to take home. It had been quite a few years since we last visited, so having a brand-new area to visit was great. Check out the Seattle Aquarium link above to read more about this Seattle attraction.

This is the view from the original part of the aquarium, looking across to the new Ocean Pavilion building.

The Reef area inside the Ocean Pavilion has a huge viewing area and is quite striking upon entering.

In the Animal Care area of the Ocean Pavillion, you'll find these small Jelly Fish. How cool!

This part of the Ocean Pavillion is free to the public. Just head to the entrance and look up! This feature of the aquarium is so fun!

The original aquarium building has lots of photo spots!

We had a fun time exploring the Seattle Aquarium, both the new Ocean Pavilion and the original section!
