A visit to the Funko Headquarters in Everett, WA
Me standing next to one of the many larger than life Funko Pop figurines at the Funko HQ! This Hagrid figurine is located in the Harry Potter section, which was one of my favorite parts of the store.
My family and I checked out the Funko HQ, located north of Seattle in Everett! This is a 17,000 square foot flagship store with different sections of Disney, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Marvel, and more. Funko is an American company which was founded in 1998 and feature Funko Pop figurines with distinctive big heads and small bodies. They feature characters from different franchises like Disney, Marvel, sports, anime, and more. At their HQ, each area of the store feature multiple displays with huge figurines, perfect for taking photos! There's a lot to take in at this flagship store, and it almost felt like a theme park store. I visited Disneyland last month, so it felt like I was there, looking at merch and posing by the displays. I was in my element.
I adored the Harry Potter area. The little Dobby was so cute in the window, and the large Harry, Ron, and Hermione were so sweet looking! There were also a lot of really neat themed Loungfly bags and Funko Pops with the different characters from the movies. The Disney area was also great, and I liked the giant Elsa. The more I looked around, the more details and characters I spotted. when I sat on a bench by Hagrid near the Harry Potter area, I spotted Pascal from Tangled looking out of a window. Then I spotted the mice friends from Cinderella nearby.
I saw some really cute merch, like a wallet with Flash from Zootopia that I liked. I ended up buying two Disney pins. The two I pulled were Woody from Toy Story and a soft serve ice cream cone one. The employee working there said I could actually trade my pins if I didn't like mine, but I loved the ones I got. The pin prices were great; they were only $6 each. I feel like the price for pins is usually double that at my local mall.
You can even design your own Funko Pop at one of the kiosks. Just for fun I made one that looked like me and just snapped a photo of the screen. You can even choose accessories. I selected a passport and a donut. You can choose a pet, too. These are around $40 and you can even name your Funko Pop. I noticed most of the other Funko Pops around the store were around $20. If you're a pop culture fan like me, you'll love wandering around this flagship store in Everett!
The exterior of the store is so fun and delightful! There's so many giant Funko Pops on the building. I spotted Harry Potter, Sully from Monster's Inc, and Chewbacca!
