Lunch at Piatti in the U-Village

To celebrate our niece graduating from college at UW, we had a family lunch at Piatti. She reserved a large table, and we had a room to ourselves. Piatti is located in the U-Village and was established in 1987. They serve authentic and fresh Italian cuisine. They hand make their own pasta daily.

UW's colors are purple, so my niece painted her nails purple, and the menu even had the UW logo on it. We weren't sure if the logo is always on the menu or just this weekend for graduation. I had an Aperol Spritz and my husband had an Old Fashioned. We also started with some warm Focaccia bread, which tasted oh so good dipped in some olive oil.

Everyone ordered a variety of pastas and pizzas. My family shared the Spicy Pepperoni Pizza. Along with pepperoni, it had red onion and mama lil's peppers. The pizza was wood fired and had a nice crust. The cheese and meats were really loaded on! A really good pizza to try in the U-Village. My other family members really liked their pasta and pizza, too. My nephew's Ravioli looked especially good.

The room was perfect for us since we took a lot of photos of our special graduate posing with her family, and we had the space to do that. I'm glad my niece picked this spot to celebrate! I'd never been to Piatti before. It was a great spot for a large group!
