I've always loved lighthouses, especially photographing them. I've been to the Oregon Coast many times over the years. I always stop and visit my favorite lighthouse on the West Coast, Yaquina Head. The other Lighthouse in Newport is the Yaquina Bay Lighthouse. I was fortunate to get to visit both lighthouses again on this trip to Newport. Here are some photographes I took this time around.

The Yaquina Head Lighthouse in Newport, Oregon. We stayed at a hotel on the beach which looked toward Yaquina Bay. Even though the lighthouse is six miles away, we could see it from our room. |

We didn't get to visit this lighthouse this time because they were closed for the day. I visted Yaquina Bay Lighthouse before though, otherwise I would have definatly come back to check it out. I remember a giftshop when you first walk in, then you can climb the stairs and look in the rooms. Neat stuff. |

Yaquina Bay Lighthouse was only a couple of blocks from where we stayed. This was our first view of Yaquina Bay. I'll never get tired of looking at lighthouses, they'll all so beautiful. |
Yaquina Head Lighthouse is located at 750 Lighthouse Drive in Newport and Yaquina Bay Lighthouse is located at 842 Government Street.
